Colorado Springs police search for suspects after reported break in, shots fired in North Gate neighborhood

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs police are investigating a reported break-in and gunfire incident that occurred over the weekend. The incident took place on Wildwood Ridge Drive, in the North Gate area, with authorities being alerted around midnight on Sunday.

According to police records, at least two individuals broke into a vehicle, stole a garage door opener, and subsequently accessed a garage. This prompted a resident of the home to investigate after hearing the garage door open.

Upon investigation, at least one of the suspects discharged a firearm multiple times, striking the house before both suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
