ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police are currently investigating five armed carjackings that occurred over a weekend, from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. The most recent incident transpired just after midnight on Sunday in the Dutchtown area, resulting in a pursuit across multiple neighborhoods. Three suspects, aged 19, 17, and 16, were arrested following the crime.

In this particular carjacking, a 51-year-old man reported he was forced out of his vehicle at gunpoint near Idaho and Walsh around 12:30 a.m. Shortly thereafter, police received reports of screeching tires and found the stolen vehicle, initiating a pursuit that ultimately ended when the car struck a curb. While three suspects were captured, another managed to escape.

Another carjacking took place on Saturday night at a gas station on Bircher Avenue, where a man was robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint after stepping inside to make a purchase. Additionally, two delivery drivers fell victim to armed robbers. One incident involved a 42-year-old man who was threatened for his delivery van keys in the 7200 block of Minnesota, while the other involved a pizza delivery driver who was similarly robbed by five armed teens shortly after making a delivery.

On Friday afternoon, a 17-year-old was targeted when their vehicle was rear-ended by another car. Three armed individuals, comprised of two males and one female, approached the young victim, with the female suspect ultimately driving off in the victim's car. She was later apprehended, and both the stolen vehicle and the victim's car were recovered.
