1 teen dead, 1 teen critical after shooting on city's northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -- A shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis has left one teenager dead and another in critical condition, according to a news release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m. on Sunday in the 10000 block of East 42nd Street, where officers found two teenage males suffering from gunshot wounds near the Exxon Mobil Silver Express Foodmart gas station. Both victims were quickly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Tragically, at 8:11 p.m., IMPD reported that one of the teenagers succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
As authorities continue their investigation, further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been made available.
