MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WKYT) - Two individuals are facing serious charges in relation to a disturbing child abuse case, according to Middlesboro Police. Ricky North and Nichole North stand accused of intentionally inflicting harm on Ricky's 5-year-old child on multiple occasions.

The investigation revealed that the child was subjected to a range of abusive behaviors while under the care of Ricky and Nichole. Reports indicate that the abuse included methods such as torture and cruel confinement, which raised significant concerns about the child's well-being.

Among the alleged forms of punishment, the child endured duct taping of arms and legs, cold showers, physical blows like punching and slapping, choking, and being body slammed. Disturbingly, the child was even punished for minor infractions, such as coloring outside the lines on homework.
