Western District Police Report Drug Arrest in Gambrills

GAMBRILLS, MD - On Thursday night at approximately 10:00 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of Annapolis Road and California Terrace. During their investigation, officers discovered that one of the drivers involved had an active detainer for a probation violation.
The driver, 44-year-old Quantonio Derell Dunscomb from Annapolis, Maryland, was subsequently taken into custody. A search conducted at the scene uncovered about 36.38 grams of suspected crack cocaine in his possession.
In addition to the crack cocaine, police found other controlled substances, including a capsule believed to contain heroin and fentanyl, five Xanax bars, and a vial containing suspected PCP. These findings contributed to the severity of the charges he faces.
Dunscomb is now facing multiple charges related to controlled dangerous substances (CDS). The arrest has been processed by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, which is continuing its investigation into the incident.
Authorities are working to gather additional information as part of the ongoing inquiry. Dunscomb's arrest underscores the challenges law enforcement faces in combating drug-related offenses in the community.
