Southwest Colorado burglar arrested after pursuit

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO) - A man wanted for home burglary was apprehended after a police pursuit on March 29. The San Miguel Sheriff's Office reports that 32-year-old Sheldon Tucksen was arrested with the assistance of deputies from Montrose County's West End.
The incident began when deputies attempted to pull Tucksen over during a traffic stop on Highway 141. In response, he fled the scene, leading to a chase that ended when his vehicle slid off the road.
Once the car was immobilized, Tucksen and a passenger were removed from the vehicle. Fortunately, the passenger only sustained a superficial injury, while Tucksen emerged unscathed.
In addition to the existing charges of felony burglary, Tucksen now faces additional charges stemming from the pursuit. He was subsequently booked into the Montrose County jail.
Tucksen's bond has been set at $10,000 in cash.
