Pergunto-me se os gênios estrategistas que inventaram esse papo de jogar o @FlavioBolsonaro para o centro, acenando para pautas feministas, estão acompanhando alguma coisa da política do Reino Unido. Spoiler: não sabem nem apontar o Reino Unido no mapa. Deixa eu explicar o básico em 2 minutos do que você precisa saber: Durante décadas, a política britânica foi dividida entre Trabalhistas e Conservadores - uma direita aristocrática, limpinha e bem-comportada. Até que surgiu o “radical maluco” Nigel Farage e bagunçou todo o tabuleiro. Farage passou anos no Partido da Independência do Reino Unido (UKIP) e fez o impensável e o impossível: forçou a realização do referendo do Brexit, em 2016, e tirou o Reino Unido da União Europeia. Depois, criou o Brexit Party e transformou tudo no atual Reform UK, um partido de direita nacional-populista (chamado de “extrema direita” pela mídia, claro). O efeito foi devastador: o Reform engoliu e destruiu os Conservadores tradicionais. Hoje, o Reform UK vive empatado ou à frente dos Trabalhistas nas pesquisas - os dois oscilando entre 22% e 28% - , enquanto os Conservadores estão na casa dos 18% a 20% e em queda livre. A direita limpinha centenária está implodindo diante dos nossos olhos e pode simplesmente deixar de existir. Aí entra a surpresa: Rupert Lowe. Ele foi eleito deputado pelo Reform em 2024, mas rompeu com Farage, dizendo que o partido havia se tornado moderado demais e traído as causas originais. Fundou o Restore Britain, um partido ainda mais à direita, que passou a ser chamado de "extrema-direita" e que deslocou a janela de Overton de forma brutal. O partido tem poucos meses de existência formal e já está abocanhando um percentual cada vez mais respeitável dos votos no Reino Unido. Enquanto a velha mídia obviamente arranca os pentelhos das calcinhas. Na eleição para prefeito de Greater Manchester, agora no finalzinho de julho - a maior by-election da história britânica e o primeiro teste eleitoral importante depois de Andy Burnham se tornar primeiro-ministro pelo Partido Trabalhista, o Restore recebeu 46.289 votos, ou 8,7%, ficou em 4º lugar e superou os Conservadores, que terminaram em 5.º, com 7,7%!!! O resultado acendeu um alerta entre os quadros do Reform, e muitos já entenderam a insatisfação do eleitor de direita com acenos a pautas que não fazem parte do nosso movimento. Sem esses votos, a chance do Reform vencer as próximas eleições gerais diminuem consideravelmente. Hoje mesmo, porém, Lowe gravou um vídeo convidando Farage a uma união contra a esquerda - desde que o Reform retorne às pautas tradicionais e mais duras da direita, que fizeram o partido atingir o tamanho que tem hoje. Trump. Onda azul da América latina. UK. Europa. Assim como foi na primeira onda nacional-populista iniciada na década passada, a direita chamada “bolsonarista” do Brasil está inserida em um movimento global que tem, claro, algumas diferenças, mas muitas similaridades e, portanto, lições. Quem não acompanha o que acontece no mundo vai ficar mais perdido que daltônico resolvendo cubo mágico. E a principal lição é clara: as pessoas estão cada vez mais revoltadas com o establishment e querem candidatos que expressem essa revolta sem filtro.
