You mentioned that @SuomenPoliisi prohibited you from discussing matters related to the investigation. Did the police explain what this prohibition is based on? According to Section 5 of Chapter 11 of the Preliminary Investigation Act, a prohibition must be given in writing and formally communicated. It must specify the subject of the prohibition, the duration of the prohibition, and the potential penalties. The prohibition can only relate to matters that have come to light in the investigation, which do not concern the prohibited person themselves and which they did not previously know. Moreover, their disclosure must additionally be able to complicate the investigation or cause harm or disadvantage to someone. What was such a matter in this case? The investigation concerns a message that has already been published. The suspect's own suspicion of a crime, their own message, and what the police have reported regarding their status concern the suspect themselves. The prohibition does not extend to them, nor does Paragraph 2 of Section 23 of the Publicity Act, which only pertains to confidential information regarding other individuals obtained as parties involved. The police must also clarify the content of the confidentiality obligation (ETL 11:6). Was that done? If the police prohibited the recording of the interrogation or the publication of its content, what is the legal basis for the restriction, and what information does it pertain to? If the suspect cannot record, will the police record it themselves? The interrogation must be recorded when the method of its conduct should be able to be verified later (ETL 9:3). In this matter, the basis is evident. The suspect has the right to remain silent. You can refuse to answer until the binding nature, basis, and scope of the prohibition have been clarified (and, of course, otherwise as well). You do not have to guess the limits of an ambiguous prohibition. The police do not need to allow the publication of all material in advance. But if an authority claims that revealing information is punishable, the basis and subject of the prohibition must be specified. If it was a request, it should not be presented as an obligation, and such a request can always be met with a mocking belly laugh. (translated)

Now, believe me, beyond everything, there is a quality that I discovered in the way of questioning, of interacting, of prosecutor Civardi that excites me. Really. The tone. The timing. The manners. The measured choice of every word, precisely because he is able to give each word its weight. And not just any weight: the exact one. Because Civardi really seems to weigh the words. One by one. In front of such a mind, in my opinion, you have little chance. There is a passage during the interview with Sempio where he says something like this. I’m going from memory: “…he reports having found the Feltrinelli bookstore closed, inexplicably.” (Pause) “On August 13” (micro-pause) “Monday” (If you manage to recover that passage in the video, feel free to post it below). Because in my opinion, everything is there. There’s the skill of a man that you will hardly be able to displace. The same that I found in that question asked to Cassese: a question that asked nothing, it sentenced. Or in the way he managed those two minutes with General Garofano. That’s where you see what an extremely intelligent, cultured, prepared, and capable person can become over time. But above all, there is one thing I am convinced of. A way of speaking like that, such confidence, comes not only from preparation or intelligence. I believe it also comes from the pride of knowing that one can defend one’s honesty. #Garlasco INEXPLICABLY... (That adverb…😍) (translated)

Does anyone really believe that there has been a break-in at the homes of parliament members, and by Russia no less? I don't believe it. It smells as made-up as it can be. (translated)

The press conference today clarified the suspicions related to parliamentarians' homes. According to Speaker Halla-aho, there is a significant number of cases. It is suspected that residences have been entered in the absence of the representatives. No signs of forced entry have been found, and nothing has been stolen, but traces have been left in the homes. The suspicions involve members of different parties, and the first case may go back as far as a year. There is currently no confirmed information about the perpetrator or motive. The background may involve criminal activity, harassment or stalking targeted at individual politicians, domestic extremist groups, or the actions of a foreign state. Not all reported cases may necessarily be related to each other. Now, it is the police's task to distinguish real intrusions from other observations and investigate possible connections between them. The possibility of a state actor must still be taken seriously. An especially interesting detail is the marks left in the homes. If the intention were solely to obtain information secretly, a successful intrusion would fundamentally be attempted to be concealed. If, instead, traces are deliberately left behind, being noticed may itself be part of the operation. In that case, intelligence is combined with psychological influence. Such methods are known in the history of Russian security services. There have been intrusions into the homes of diplomats, officials, and other individuals deemed interesting, with deliberate traces left behind. This does not prove anything about the perpetrators of these cases. It indicates why the possibility of a foreign state’s action must be thoroughly investigated. If it ultimately turns out to be state influence, the selection of targets would in itself be significant. Parliamentarians decide on Finland's defense policy, NATO cooperation, support for Ukraine, relations with Russia, and numerous other decisions in which foreign states may have strong interests. Coercion does not have to mean an attempt to change one vote in a single ballot. The aim could also be to gather information, map networks and vulnerabilities, or generate uncertainty about whether the consequences of political decisions extend to an individual's own home and loved ones. That is why Finland now needs a more open discussion about the kind of foreign intelligence, influence, and pressure directed at it. Confidential information should not be disclosed, but Finns should have a realistic understanding of the security environment in which we live and whether its change requires anything from decision-makers, companies, or ordinary people. And above all, keep a cool head. If the purpose of such acts turns out to be to generate fear and uncertainty in Finland, that is precisely the effect that should not be allowed. Serious suspicions will be investigated, efforts will be made to identify the perpetrators, and appropriate action will be taken if necessary. Finland's decisions will continue to be made in Finland, without fear and pressure. (translated)

Emma Navarro, due to her illness, has seen her days, her work, and even her appearance change. For the latter, she has been fiercely ridiculed on social media. Judging bodies is not an opinion, like preferring Roman or Neapolitan pizza. It’s wrong. It’s the damn out of Monte Carlo between Sinner and Tsitsipas in the comments. Because it doesn’t matter how intelligent you are and how much awareness you have. It doesn’t matter if it’s not your fault. It doesn’t matter if your father is a billionaire and instead of buying you Madagascar, you decided to earn a place in sports. It hurts anyway, because the body is the physical boundary between us and the world, and all boundaries, if bombarded for too long, end up falling. It makes me angry that Emma had to explain it, I’m grateful to her for wanting to do it. I, in her place, would be in Madagascar by now. #tennis #emmanavarro (translated)

"Javier Milei criticizes the left and the debt: 'If the French left protests against me, I thank them: it’s a medal. The debt is deeply immoral. The debt is nothing more than a deferred tax. This means you are making your current celebrations pay for your children, your grandchildren, and generations yet to be born who have no means of defending themselves. Look at Argentina: when we arrived, the consolidated debt was 100% of GDP. It is now below 40%. Our deficit was 15 percentage points of GDP. We are now at strict balance. The media is corrupt, literally corrupt. As soon as I arrived, I cut off their source of official advertising. So, of course, they harbor a visceral hatred for me! They hate me because they are mostly leftist.'" (translated)

In an extremely interesting post, @paul_amar2 recalls article L. 212-1 of the internal security code. This text allows for the dissolution, by decree in the Council of Ministers, of an association or grouping whose actions jeopardize the republican form of government, provoke violence, or incite hatred. Case law has confirmed that a political party is not exempt from this. For the journalist, La France insoumise fits well within this framework. Personally, I wonder, why such leniency from the executive? Can LFI be of service? Chaos would benefit the Insoumis less than those who fear the verdict of the ballots. (translated)

Nicușor explains to us, with a serious face, that AUR is not allowed in government because it "affects our relationship with our partners." And we are not having early elections, because "the investors" do not want that. Interesting. I thought that the master of the country is the people, but it seems that it is a group of investors without a name, without a face, and without a vote. How convenient it is to have "investors" and "partners" in your pocket! When you want something, you say they want it. When you don't want something, you say they don’t want it. And you never have to account for it, because who is going to ask them? Let's simplify: in the next elections, let only these "investors" run. At least we won't waste time with ballots, with campaigns, and with millions of naive people who believe their vote matters. They decide anyway.
