Marats Kasems criticized the Progressive Party's actions regarding the scandal involving former Riga City Council deputy Mārtiņš Eņģelis. He claimed that the party leadership did not immediately go to the police after reports of the sexual exploitation of a minor girl, citing the girl's request to remain silent about the incident. Kasems suggested that the decision may have been influenced by the upcoming elections, which, according to him, were expected in a few days. Kasems pointed out that before the scandal, the party's public stance on Eņģelis was related to workplace burnout. He also accused the public media LSM of allegedly defending the party and presenting sexual offenses as a tool for political struggle. Kasems wrote that he took this case personally, as he had been an orphan since the age of 11 after his mother's death and had sought help from the municipality. He expressed hope that the law enforcement agencies would continue to review the case. #Progresīvie #bārene #LSM #RīgasDome #StambulasKonvencija #Progresīvie #bārene #RīgasDome (translated)

Robert Rakuš, on the 40th anniversary of his first day at work, recalled that on October 6, 1986, he met his colleague Vrečar in the locker room before six in the morning. He asked him if he had brought any spirits for the coffee. Since Rakuš did not have any, he said he spent eight hours polishing welds in a 40-cubic-meter fuel oil tank. He intended to mark the anniversary with 0.3 liters of whiskey on the rocks, noting that he had fulfilled the first condition for retirement. #spomini #prvaden #življenjepis (translated)

God's Son wrote that voting is important because the occupation and colonization by the USSR have severely distorted the ethnic composition of Latvian citizens. In his opinion, a large part of the citizens is still disloyal to the idea of a national state and Latvia's independence. He pointed out that, although political choices are poor, the choice in Latvia's fundamental issues is clear, and more votes would reduce the chances of disloyal forces. In conclusion, he wished God's blessing for Latvia.
