Wörtlich: China könne nicht länger schweigen, wenn "jemand sich in einen Matrosenanzug und eine Militärmütze wirft und, bestimmte Wörter schlecht aussprechend, über einen Nuklearschlag redet". China müsse reagieren, "diesen Eifer abkühlen" und beweisen, dass sein Anspruch, Weltführer zu sein, nicht nur wirtschaftlich und technologisch gelte, sondern auch zivilisatorisch, indem es klarstelle: Kein Diktator habe das Recht, den Planeten mit seinen alten Atomsprengköpfen zu bedrohen.
