Alain Hanel stated that he would not publish his usual columns on October 22, 2026, as he needed to rest after a spinal surgery. He recounted that his friend Maxime, a spinal surgeon, had operated on him and told him that the procedure was successful. According to Hanel, he was walking normally two hours after the operation, whereas he had suffered with every step before. At 77 years old, Hanel wrote that he had agreed to the surgery despite the doctors, who, he said, considered him a hopeless orthopedic case. He explained that he wanted to regain his walks by his bay at sunrise and recalled that he had been struggling with a difficult life since he was 17. He also thanked his friend Frank, a mechanic, who drove him to Mougins and then came to pick him up. Hanel stated that no local contracted taxi had accepted the transport voucher signed by the hospital. He clarified that he would only publish his photo of the day, his dance, and the content of "Lulu" until Sunday, before resuming his columns on Monday. #Santé #Amitié #Chirurgie (translated)
