Anthony Fauci

It doesn't end until it ends... but it never ends. Since ancient times, war, hunger, and plague have haunted humanity. "None of these three biblical evils have been resolved and it is possible that in the 22nd century they will continue as things are going," lamented the head of the Infectious Diseases Service at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital in Seville at the beginning of the meeting with journalists and colleagues, during which he also cited the phrase of the infectious disease expert and adviser —"to his dismay"— of US President Donald Trump during the covid pandemic, Anthony Fauci: "It doesn’t end until it ends... but it never ends." #Infecciones #SaludGlobal #Pandemias (translated)

It is not over until it is over... but it never ends. Everything could be summed up with the phrase: "It is not over until it is over... but it never ends," which is how the infectious disease specialist Anthony Fauci (the epidemiologist in charge in the US during COVID and in recent years in that country) titled his farewell essay from public service, published in the New England Journal of Medicine. #EnfermedadesInfecciosas #SaludGlobal #CambioClimático (translated)
