"For the year 2026, we purchased more than 60 percent of gas from a producer in Romania. The rest, about 30 to 40 percent, we obtained from various traders on the European market. We do not have an active contract with any Russian entity for the supply of Russian gas," said Moldovan Minister of Energy Dorin Junghietu. "This is how the system was designed back in Soviet times: to retain a certain lever in the electricity grid through which Moldova could be controlled," Junghieta noted that Moldova's vulnerable position was part of a well-thought-out plan by Moscow. #Moldavsko #energie #EU (translated)
