Yesterday in Brussels, @SecGenNATO and I discussed the need for a strong and credible Alliance. Incidents over Lithuania and the Baltic Sea, and suspected sabotage in the Netherlands, show why. #NATO must remain united, vigilant and ready. Peace is preserved through strength. #NATO #Alliance #Security #BE #LT #NL

Meeting with the President of the European Parliament @RobertaMetsola. The European Union must first strengthen its competitiveness, reduce bureaucracy, and ensure greater predictability for the economy. Europe's ability to shape the world around it in the future depends on (translated)

Twenty-five years ago, the terrorist attacks of 9/11 claimed nearly 3,000 innocent lives and left a lasting mark on the United States and the world. In the face of tragedy, the transatlantic community stood united. Congratulations to @GiorgiaMeloni on a historic achievement - leading the longest-serving Government in the history of the Italian Republic. Political stability matters. Leadership matters.  And a strong, confident Italy matters, to Slovenia, to our region and to Europe. As https://t.co/D7LW0q4vAA #Italy #Leadership #PoliticalStability #IT #SI

On August 24th 1991 Ukraine declared independence from the Soviet Union. Shortly after, Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Slovenia 🇸🇮 recognized each other as independent states. 3 months later, the Ukrainian people voted on its independence in a referendum. 92.25% voted for, 7.75% voted against. #UkraineIndependence #1991Referendum #UkrainianHistory #UA #SI

Extinguishing fires in inaccessible terrain requires a lot of coordinated efforts and top-notch skills from firefighters and pilots. In Slovenia, the system works well because it involves caring people with knowledge. (translated)

We stand with people of Spain. Ceuta is once again a wake-up call. Without effective protection of the EU's external borders, mass illegal border crossings will become the new normal. Compassion for those in genuine need must never be confused with tolerance of illegal migration. #Ceuta #EUBorders #IllegalMigration #ES

During Russia's latest massive air strikes against Ukraine, Polish airspace was violated. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in Poland. We stand in solidarity with Poland and Ukraine. By continuously launching brutal attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine, Russia once again demonstrates a total disregard for international law. The latest strike on Sloviansk, which claimed innocent lives and destroyed the Honorary Consulate of Latvia, is yet another horrific #UkraineUnderAttack #InternationalLaw #RussiaAggression #UA #RU #LV

The dean shamelessly played a central supporting role in the theft of the elections in 2014. Without a shred of sadness. (translated)

End of the joke. If this is really done as written, Hormuz will be freed in 30 days and oil will be cheaper. At the same time, this could bring a new dynamic in the short term, which will require a transitional intervention to mitigate the spike in fuel prices. (translated)

Four years ago, Kyiv was cold during our visit, we met in a shelter, Russian forces were already close to Kyiv. Today, Kyiv was bathed in sunshine, Ukraine has made significant military progress, including regarding EU accession. What were just dreams four years ago is today for Ukraine. (translated)

At the traditional military parade on the French national holiday, the anniversary of the fall of the Bastille, more than 500 soldiers from 35 coalition countries participated, including members of @Slovenskavojska. This year's parade was especially dedicated to European support for Ukraine, and for the first time... (translated)

After today's coalition summit of the willing: We are moving in the right direction, the only question is whether we are fast enough. Ukraine continues to have our full support. (translated)

United States and the world have lost a determined leader @LindseyGrahamSC. A friend of Slovenia, supporter of @NATO, Ukraine and Israel. A Transatlanticist. The NATO summit, which took place this year in Ankara, has concluded. It was one of those summits that we leave satisfied - the adopted declaration provides answers to all key challenges. At the same time, we are restoring Slovenia's credibility and trustworthiness. (translated)

At the NATO summit, great unity was shown. If we didn't have NATO today, we would have to establish it. (translated)

Very accurate assessment. @POTUS recognized the main enemy of the free democratic society. As #RonaldReagan did 45 years ago. 👍 https://t.co/bAIGCrO60V #POTUS #Democracy #RonaldReagan #US

Deeply saddened by the reports from Kyiv following another devastating Russian missile and drone attack. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
