A so‑called victory declared amid the banning of anti‑war parties, ballots cast in occupied Ukrainian territories, and a backdrop of cyberattacks and drone strikes is a hollow exercise in legitimising repression and war — the world must back Russian anti‑war voices, demand free, fair elections and accountability, and press urgently for a ceasefire.
