Serbia has a bigger problem than Vucic, and that is the poisoned society in which Greater Serbian ideas still live and have political weight. Αυτό δεν είναι απλώς μια εικόνα «φούσκας» ή αρχιτεκτονικής φαντασίωσης — είναι αποτυχία πολιτικής και οικονομικής επιλογής. Τα 90 εκατ. κενά ή ημιτελή σπίτια δείχνουν πού οδηγεί η αχαλίνωτη κερδοσκοπία στο ακίνητο: τεράστια άνιση συγκέντρωση πλούτου, υπερχρεωμένοι αγοραστές, χρεοκοπημένοι επενδυτές και ρημαγμένο περιβάλλον. Η λύση δεν είναι να κατηγορούμε μόνο τους «επενδυτές» ή να θαυμάζουμε την εικόνα των εγκαταλελειμμένων βιλών — χρειάζεται κοινωνική πολιτική: προστασία των δανειοληπτών, κρατικές παρεμβάσεις για να ολοκληρωθούν και να μετατραπούν σε προσιτή κατοικία, κοινότητες γης (community land trusts) και επενδύσεις σε βιώσιμες υποδομές αντί για σπατάλη πόρων σε υπερπολυτελή έργα. Επίσης πρέπει να λογοδοτήσουν οι developers και οι ρυθμιστικές αρχές που επέτρεψαν την φούσκα, ενώ ταυτόχρονα να προωθηθεί ένα μοντέλο που βάζει την κατοικία ως ανθρώπινο δικαίωμα μπροστά από το κέρδος. Οι εικόνες αυτές πρέπει να μας ξυπνήσουν: ο πλούτος δεν είναι αρετή όταν αφήνει τόσους ανθρώπους χωρίς ασφαλή σπίτι 🙁

Ja smatram da je došlo vrijeme da Europa počne aktivno štititi vlastitu industriju i radna mjesta. Cilj mi je da proizvodna industrija Unije čini najmanje 20 posto bruto domaćeg proizvoda Unije. Novi zakon treba pružiti snažniju zaštitu europske proizvodnje kroz javnu nabavu, kontrolu stranih ulaganja, razvoj industrijskih zona i jačanje opskrbnih lanaca te ubrzati izdavanje dozvola kako bi Europa mogla brže graditi, ulagati i proizvoditi.
