There is no possible way, no matter how many times Mahmood repeats it, that Labour's anti-immigration policies can come under the principle of "fairness"

Trans rights are being rolled back across the world. Under Labour we are witnessing the largest attack on trans, as well as human in general, rights for decades. The Supreme Court ruling has opened the door to trans individuals being excluded from public life. 1/ www.theguardian.com/society/2026...

Immigration is not and never has been the cause of underfunding in schools, the high cost of living, public spending cuts etc. Yes the far right hijacks all these issues to scapegoat migrants, but immigration isn't why people are protesting the cost of living, the cost of living is.

For context, this particular hotel may house close to 500 men, women and children, all of whom could've been burned alive. Far right radicalisation is a serious threat, yet often politicians pander to their ideology, claiming it is the only way to counter them. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Among other things Mahmood's anti-immigration/asylum policies will, without question: 🚨 Increase homelessness 🚨 Increase exploitation 🚨 Undermine community cohesion efforts and embolden the far right 🚨 Undermine human rights 🚨 Cost more They have no positives. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

The errors caused by AI in processing asylum claims have been shown to be far higher than the Home Office's claims, somewhere around a quarter. For many people that can be a life of death decision. AI has no place determining that for people. www.wired.com/story/uk-hom...

Tonight there are going to be many trans individuals genuinely fearful for the future, again. People, once again, scared to seek treatment, scared of how they will be treated. This isn't some hypothetical debate. It isn't some fluffy, intangible, issue. People's lives are on the line, YET AGAIN.

One of the common arguments from so called "gender criticals", transphobes, is "what rights are trans people losing". The answer is so many. Just today we have seen in practice that trans people are being excluded from healthcare., to add to public spaces, education etc. It all costs lives.

As we have just seen with the NHS, as we have seen with EHRC "guidance", as we have seen with Labour's Section 28 2.0 for schools, as we see every damn day, transphobia is now policy, trans individuals rights are being removed. It is a cruel and inhumane attack against trans individuals all round.

I see the Times is going full on attack disabled individuals as scroungers and layabouts with no consideration for how PIP is not an "out of work benefit" and how for many it is essential support to actually work and live.
