The emphasis is on LEGAL orders. Not ILLEGAL orders. As so many legal scholars and ex military (& some recently departed military leaders pushed by Trump, have kept on pointing out.)

I know some individual military leaders have stood up to the treasonous administration & paid the price…but 🇺🇸 military as a whole has not. Character matters.

This is another reason I am exceptionally concerned about 🇬🇧(& European) over reliance on the USA for defence. It isn’t JUST Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Witkoff, Kushner & their evident willingness to embrace illegality, war criminals & Russia. It’s that their military has been spineless in response.

This is what Russia is doing to Ukraine. Little children (at least the ones that survive Putin’ “human safari” being forced to experience a childhood like this. And Trump & his band of traitors puts his thumb on the Russian side of the scale.
