An absolutely horrible man has been brought to justice, and instead of thinking about his victims, people are trying to turn this into a pathetic political point. But then again, who cares about women, unless you can use their plight to pile on the people you already dislike, eh?

Well said by @lordrickettsp.bsky.social There should have been an extremely serious debate about this even earlier, from the moment the National Security Report came out in 2025 that called for a "whole-of-society“-approach to defense. But no national conversation followed.
Instead of arguing about what happened 10 years ago, perhaps the British debate should focus on 1) the very real threat emanating from Russia NOW, including but not limited to disinformation 2) Britain‘s future strategy in a geopolitically turbulent world which makes Brexit look even more absurd
