I am informed at this moment that I am being accused of hiding comfortably behind others out of pure cowardice. It requires quite a remarkable ignorance of the truth behind the scenes, of my life journey and character to give any credit to such a gross absurdity, put forth by a person clearly consumed by a narcissistic flaw and the main character syndrome. The irony is not lacking: the criticism comes from someone who, during a phone call a few years ago, acknowledged that I was by far the strongest, the smartest, and the bravest, admitting outright that such was the deep cause of their schemes and resentment towards me. I will always be amused by these individuals who, well sheltered behind a screen, threaten, brag, and pose as courageous superheroes, but who, when faced in person, shrink back and stammer. Good for them: just as I have no need for literary lackeys or a communication group, I also have the privilege of having a social and professional life outside of social media. I therefore have no need to revolve around the latter to know my worth or to find my means of subsistence. I do not flourish at the expense of other victims by belittling them to elevate myself, while hypocritically disguising this approach under the guise of courage, altruism, and compassion. (translated)
