To the American people: this is a long-awaited, seminal moment in world history. The Iranian people have risen up yet again, demanding an end to their oppression and misery, perpetuated by the ayatollah and his murderous regime. The Iranian people are not protesting regarding a nuclear deal. They are protesting because they are tired of living miserable, fearful lives. They are tired of living in a country where a 16-year-old girl can be beaten to death for not wearing a scarf correctly. They are tired of the radicalism and the hate, and the embrace of the darkness. To the American people: if Iran’s ayatollah, the largest state sponsor of terrorism on the planet, is replaced by people who want a better life for themselves and their children – it will make us safer and more prosperous at home. God bless President Trump for urging the people to keep protesting and saying help is on the way. The regime is incredibly weak. Nothing is without risk. Make Iran Great Again. -
I recently spoke with @POTUS and @SecRubio, and I very much appreciate their efforts to bring stability to Syria. It looks like President Trump’s efforts have paid off, at least in the near term. The Trump Administration is engaged, ensuring stability replaces the chaos that they inherited. I would encourage regional partners to reinforce President Trump’s message that we need stability not fighting. Secretary Rubio is very much hands-on in that effort. Neither the region nor the world needs another bloodbath in northeast Syria. To President Trump and Secretary Rubio: well done. Congress stands ready to help maintain stability and to push back against regional players who harm America’s interests by moving against reliable allies like the Kurds. Saudi Arabia is uniquely positioned to have influence on the Syrian government, and I hope they will exercise it for the benefit of the region and all concerned. Thank you President Trump for your leadership. -
