CALUMET CITY, Ill. (WLS) -- A south suburban family was surprised Sunday with Christmas in January. The family has been dealing with health challenges and other obstacles, and Calumet City leaders wanted to make sure they had a happy holiday, even it was a little later than normal Christmas Day may have come and gone.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A massive construction project kicks into high gear Monday in the Loop. The CTA station at State and Lake is closing so it can be demolished and rebuilt.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Starting Jan. 5, one of the busiest CTA stations will close until 2029. That's because the 130 year old State and Lake stop will be demolished.
