🙏🏽 RESPECT OUR FAITHS! After the decision by Minister Flávio Dino, the Federal Police will investigate the wave of attacks on religious images and places of worship of the Catholic faith and religions of African origins. I celebrate this decision. Since the beginning of my political life, I have dedicated myself to valuing the religious diversity of our country and advocating against religious racism and in defense of the people of terreiro and the freedom of worship of our people, which is now threatened by an unprecedented wave of hatred and discrimination. That is why I have already dedicated R$ 3.5 million in parliamentary amendments for projects to protect our diverse religiosities and ancestries, and I am also the author of the proposal that includes spiritual leaders of traditional peoples in the list of religious authorities eligible for retirement through individual contributions to the INSS. Our country is diverse, rich in faith and culture, and cannot be taken over by a radical, hateful, and fundamentalist minority that disrespects the ground it walks on and the living history our people carry forward. Repudio, com veemência, o Projeto de Lei que retira o título de Padroeira do Brasil de Nossa Senhora Aparecida, apresentado na Câmara por Victório Galli Filho, ex-assessor especial da Presidência da República de Jair Bolsonaro. Cresci em lar evangélico, não sou católica, defendo o estado laico e, mesmo assim, considero essa proposta esdrúxula. Pois a sua finalidade não é valorizar a diversidade religiosa do povo brasileiro, ou então retirar a influência de líderes religiosos do Estado brasileiro. A finalidade da proposta é apagar um símbolo de profunda identificação do nosso povo para beneficiar a visão de mundo de uma minoria radical e fundamentalista. E, apesar de a proposta ser de 2007 e já ter sido arquivada, qualquer movimento que sugira que ela pode retornar ao debate público pelas mãos de Flávio Bolsonaro, que quer ser presidente do Brasil, ou pelas mãos de seus aliados políticos, precisa ser observado com cautela e atenção. #EstadoLaico #DiversidadeReligiosa #NossaSenhoraAparecida
