Miguel Angel Briseño wrote that Cruz Azul had played a complete match, from start to finish, as had not been seen in a long time, although he noted that the opponent offered little and that the team often complicated themselves. He added that, for Huiqui, the positive aspect was the internal competition, which, he said, raised the level. #CruzAzul #FútbolMexicano #LigaMX (translated)

Carrerismo pointed out that Erik Lira had shown his best level at Cruz Azul by moving from pivot to center-back in a three-man line, performing as a libero. According to their analysis, from that position he anticipated, led, and organized the team's play better. The author stated that, since his transfer to Monaco fell through, he perceived Lira as less decisive and inconsistent, even though he had had good matches. He added that even in his natural position as a pivot, he was not able to impose the conditions he had previously set from defense. Carrerismo mentioned Amaury García and Alan Montes as interesting alternatives in a position where, in their opinion, Lira seemed indispensable. They clarified that they did not know how much the Monaco episode had influenced Lira and that it would not be fair to attribute everything to that, but they believed the player was struggling to regain the level that had made him a reference point. #CruzAzul #FutbolMexicano #ErikLira (translated)

Carrerismo pointed out that Huiqui had still not managed to balance Cruz Azul. In his opinion, playing with two forwards reduced the team's presence in midfield and, although Ibáñez and Toro operated staggered, a player with good skills was needed alongside Charly and Palavecino. He also claimed that the team was losing connections, depth, and recovery capability. The author considered Huiqui's reading during the matches concerning. As he wrote, the lack of containment and support in midfield left the defense too exposed, and Cruz Azul needed to add a player in the center. He added that the problem was no longer the initial setup, but the difficulty in correcting it during the match. #CruzAzul #FútbolMexicano #LigaMX (translated)

He claimed that Chivas was the only team that did this and contributed more national team players. He also criticized those who, as he wrote, bragged about foreign talent and then sought scapegoats when the national team lost.
