Democratic leader of the House of Representatives Hakeem Jeffries stated on Sunday that the climate for the midterm elections remains favorable for the Democrats. "It's shocking, but not surprising, that the U.S. president is so severely undermining the struggle of the Ukrainian people for democracy, freedom, and dignity," H. Jeffries said to the AP news agency after services in Toledo. He stated that House Republicans are "out of touch with reality" if they believe, as Chairman Mike Johnson recently hinted, that the elections on November 3 will repeat the resounding Republican victory of 2024 that brought D. Trump to the White House and secured a Republican majority in Congress. "We are working tirelessly across the country and continue to demonstrate that we need fundamental change, not the preservation of the status quo, and that only Democrats will fight to make life in this country affordable," H. Jeffries said. "It will once again exceed all expectations." #Demokratija #HakeemasJeffriesas #Trumpas (translated)
