Daniele Mari reported, citing the Gazzetta dello Sport, that the coach of the Italy Under 21 team, Silvio Baldini, had ruled out calling up players from the senior National Team for the European Championship, preferring to rely on his boys. He said that Pio Esposito was the only one who had always been available, in case he was not engaged with the senior National Team, whose Final Four of the Nations League were scheduled from June 4 to June 8. Baldini added that when they had parted ways in the previous June, Esposito had told him that he wanted to play in the European Championship, after missing the one in 2025 due to commitments with Inter. He hoped that there would be no impediments and that the player would be available for the Under 21 team. #ItaliaU21 #Europeo #Nazionale (translated)
