Coś czuję, że będzie to jedna z najlepszych historii 2026 roku. Na zdjęciu Jane-Michelle Arc, transkobieta, pani inżynier oprogramowania z Kalifornii. Rok temu wyjechała do Holandii i ubiegała się tam o azyl, powołując się na strach przed prześladowaniami po powrocie Donalda Trumpa do Białego Domu. Holenderskie władze umieściły ją w ośrodku dla azylantów w miejscowości Ter Apel, gdzie przebywa także duża diaspora muzułmańska rekrutująca się głównie z młodych mężczyzn. Ośrodek słynie z przemocy, w tym seksualnej, pobić, ataków nożem oraz rozbojów. Czerwony Krzyż zawiesiły nawet część swoich usług z powodu zbyt dużego zagrożenia ze strony grupy islamskich watażków kontrolujących placówkę. I teraz najlepsze: doświadczywszy dobrodziejstw europejskiej wielokulturowości, nasza trans-informatyk chce wrócić z powrotem do USA. W ośrodku czuje się bowiem permanentnie zagrożona. Jak sama twierdzi: "Tu jest przerażająco. Moje zdrowie psychiczne tak mocno się pogarsza, że po prostu muszę stąd wyjechać."
