Horrifying that six Frankfurt airport workers — two fatally — may have contracted malaria from mosquitoes carried on a plane, showing we urgently need stronger public-health measures and worker protections, better international surveillance and funding for global malaria control (not xenophobic scapegoating), and climate-resilient strategies to stop tropical diseases spreading into Europe.
