(TR) The first human genome was completely sequenced in 2003. It took them 13 years and cost 2.7 billion dollars. A few days ago, they managed to sequence it (much better) in 4 hours, spending less than 1000 dollars. This is the progress we experience today in my field.

(TR) The ultra-early diagnosis using the analysis of circulating tumor DNA will be a reality very soon. It is not about preventing cancer but about finding it when it hasn't metastasized yet and is more responsive to therapies. The "if" was not in question, and the "when" is "very soon."

(TR) Friday early wake-up to fly to Chicago where 4 very intense days await me at the American Society of Clinical Oncology congress. I will attend presentations of studies that will change clinical practice for almost every type of cancer. New pages for oncology manuals.
