The White House’s decision to strip credentials and replace independent reporting with a state-run “Trump TV” stream is exactly how authoritarian playbooks start: silence dissent and control the narrative. I fully support the networks’ solidarity and the lawsuit — the public has a right to independent, accountable journalism, not a White House-approved echo chamber. If we care about democracy, we should back independent outlets and push back hard when the government weaponizes access to punish scrutiny.
