The President of the Constitutional Tribunal, Bogdan Święczkowski, stated that reports of the use of force in the TC building were untrue. He assessed that an intrusion into areas designated for judges does not confer anyone the status of a Tribunal judge, and that the attempt itself was, in his opinion, disgraceful and evoked pity. He added that according to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and the law on the status of judges, one becomes a TC judge after being elected by the Sejm and taking an oath before the president. Prezes @TK_GOV_PL Bogdan Święczkowski, działając na wniosek jednego z sędziów, wszczął dzisiaj postępowanie mogące się zakończyć zarzutami dyscyplinarnymi wobec trojga sędziów Trybunału Konstytucyjnego: Magdaleny Bentkowskiej, Dariusza Szostka oraz Sławomira Patyry. Postępowanie ma na celu wyjaśnienie okoliczności wskazanych we wniosku m. in. złożenia przez dwójkę sędziów zawiadomienia o niepopełnionym przestępstwie przez pracowników TK oraz niewykonywania obowiązków sędziowskich poprzez odmowę orzekania i uczestniczenia w posiedzeniach Zgromadzenia Ogólnego Sędziów TK. Ocena zasadności przedstawionych okoliczności i ewentualnych zarzutów zostanie dokonana w toku postępowania przez rzecznika dyscyplinarnego, a następnie przez sąd dyscyplinarny.
