Trump’s attorneys are trying to block the BBC subpoena which argues Smith possesses information relevant to whether the president's speech incited the J6 violence. Smith isn’t objecting to the subpoena. Trump’s team contends that Smith “lacks any personal knowledge of the issues in this matter.”

People may not realize it, but Grenell is genuinely despised by pretty much anyone who has had the great misfortune of making his acquaintance. This time he has committed an unforgivable sin, he didn’t cut Trump in on the grift.
