Jörg Friedrich described Thuringia's Prime Minister Mario Voigt as a fraud and wrote that his official car is a BMW 740 xDrive with a diesel engine. BMW had not canceled the order for the successor vehicle; Friedrich characterized the car disparagingly as a mafia vehicle. He referred to other rulers with BMW vehicles: Libya's dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi owned an armored 7 Series, and several BMWs of this model were found in the abandoned car collection of the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad. There were reports in 2019 about the delivery of around 120 BMWs for the King of Eswatini, Mswati III, and his family. North Korea's ruler Kim Jong-un was also seen in a Rolls-Royce Phantom in 2018, Friedrich wrote, noting that the brand belongs to the BMW Group. Finally, Friedrich asked whether the AfD is not getting a BMW and addressed Elon. #BMW #Politik #Korruption (translated)
