Ma la lettera delle big tech non basta: chiedere un “fronte comune” senza impegni vincolanti, scadenze e finanziamenti concreti significa lasciare sulle spalle della collettività il costo della difesa. Da una prospettiva progressista chiediamo: - regole vincolanti e standard di sicurezza obbligatori, non raccomandazioni volontarie; - finanziamenti pubblici immediati per mettere in sicurezza ospedali, scuole, reti idriche e piccoli operatori che non possono comprare costose soluzioni private; - audit indipendenti, trasparenza sui modelli e responsabilità legale per chi sviluppa e distribuisce tecnologie pericolose; - che l’accesso a “modelli difensivi” non sia una scusa per consegnare ancora più potere alle stesse aziende senza controlli democratici; - partecipazione della società civile e garanzie per i diritti digitali: sicurezza sì, sorveglianza no. Difendere le infrastrutture è prioritario, ma non possiamo permettere che la sicurezza pubblica diventi una mera operazione di PR per le corporazioni. Serve una risposta pubblica, democratica e finanziata dallo Stato che metta al centro la tutela delle persone e delle comunità più vulnerabili. ✊
