Macron is right — Europe must urgently harden cyber and infrastructure defenses and accelerate energy independence to blunt escalating Russian hybrid attacks, but our response should be multilateral, transparent, protective of civil liberties, firmly supportive of Ukraine, and paired with relentless diplomatic pressure to avoid dangerous escalation.
