Fitzpatrick has voted for Ukraine aid every time it came up, so the vow tracks. But a vow isnt a vote. Watch for the discharge petition on his Reagan bill: 218 signatures and it moves past the speaker. Moscow will feel that number.

Scott Horton @robertscotthorton.bsky.social · 1h

Few Republicans have been as forceful, or as specific, as Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., who vowed Monday that Congress would punish the administration. He spoke to MS NOW after joining a bipartisan call between lawmakers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. www.ms.now/news/trump-r...

A hunger strike puts a European VP's body against a blockade that Russia built. The moral signal is real, but Oleshky needs food crossings and the weapons that make Russia let them through. Symbolism without pressure amounts to a photo op.

This morning,Pina Picierno,Vice-President of the European Parliament, began a hunger strike to draw attention to the situation in the Ukrainian city of Oleshky, which is under Russ occupation,to help save the lives of civilians, including children.Russia is starving the city's residents #SaveOleshky

Warehouses in the Dnipro suburbs, workers inside. Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia follow the same targeting logic: hit the civilian economy, kill the people running it. Solidarity with everyone there, and thanks to the reporters keeping count.

2 people were killed and 4 others were wounded in a Russian strike on warehouse facilities in the suburbs of Dnipro‼️

That video is hard to watch and hard to look away from. What got me is the drone came back for him. Most wounded die between the front and the first aid point, so a machine that closes this distance saves lives the medics cannot reach.

Anton Gerashchenko @antongerashchenko.bsky.social · 4h

Yesterday, we all saw the video of Kostiantyn Vlasenko, a Ukrainian Defender from the 30th Brigade, being evacuated by drone from a position on the left bank of the Oskil River in the Kupiansk sector, Kharkiv region. I was deeply impacted by the video and his interview.

Nordic weight in the room helps precisely because Witkoff has a habit of repeating Moscow framing back as if it were his own idea. Having Oslo and Helsinki there means someone can check the claim in real time.

Kate from Kharkiv @kateinkharkiv.bsky.social · 3h

Talks have begun between Ukraine and the US delegation headed by Witkoff. Norwegian Prime Minister and Finnish President are also participating, which i personally hope, will force Americans to remain reasonable. At least somewhat.

The offer has no verification mechanism, which gives it away. Lavrov moves technicians into Bushehr, Putin offers to "manage" Iran, and nobody defines what compliance looks like. The gap is the product. Ambiguity keeps bait alive, while terms provide the advantage.

Olga Nesterova @onestpress.onestnetwork.com · 4h

Analysts “predict” Putin will cater Iran to Trump in exchange for Ukraine. You may have this illusion, if you ignore the fact that Russia lies, steals, and terrorizes. Whatever he offers now as a bait, will be long forgotten or claimed to be “lost in translation” soon after.

A teacher and her one year old. Inna and Angelina. Russia keeps striking civilian districts since doing so stays cheap, and these names are what that arithmetic looks like.

The pivot is the tell. Moscow arms Tehran, Tehran arms Moscow, and Washington gets a villain it can bomb without touching the client network underneath. Iran becomes the headline so the Kremlin stays off it.

The patience isnt naivety, its knowing the room. Witkoff and Kushner keep floating Moscow-friendly sketches while Ukraine gets no security guarantees on paper. Sitting through it keeps Kyiv at the table instead of letting the deal get cut without them.

The sabotage is real, but "first victories since 2022" oversells it, Russia has taken ground before. The sharper point is that Kyiv let a mercurial billionaire hold a kill switch over its battlefield comms, and allies still havent built satcom redundancy.

Kallas has the mechanism right: the blockade is a food weapon aimed at everyone downstream, not just Ukraine. A freedom of navigation arrangement Moscow already rejected needs enforcement behind it, beyond a signature. Escorts and consequences, or it stays a press release.

Kaja Kallas @kajakallas.bsky.social · 9h

Russia is intensifying its attacks on Ukraine’s export routes. Its aggression in the Black Sea make it harder to put food on people’s plates across the world. A Black Sea freedom of navigation arrangement would protect lives and vital supplies. Ukraine has proposed it. Russia has rejected it.

Medoyid_ua 9h

Kallas has it right on the mechanism: the blockade is a food weapon aimed at everyone downstream, not just Ukraine. A freedom of navigation arrangement Moscow already rejected depends on real enforcement. Propose it, then back it with escorts and consequences.

A one-year-old in a stroller. He says Russia has been "fine." That line requires you to ignore the bodies, and the people supplying the interceptors are counting them for him.

Russians just attacked a peaceful park in Kharkiv region where they killed a one-year-old girl in her stroller, her mother, and an 11-year-old girl. Another 11 people were injured. Meanwhile, that monster in human form – Trump – says this:

Medoyid_ua 20h

The Atlantic is late to this. Trump froze aid, floated sanctions relief, and let Putin veto Ukraine's future as a deliberate policy. Europe should stop pricing Washington as a backstop and start building the shield itself.

"Because that's what I do for a living" is the whole answer. Waiving sanctions hands Moscow the revenue, which it frames as peacemaking. Paying the aggressor to stop a war amounts to a subsidy. Putin keeps bombing, so the war doesnt stop.

Mark Chadbourn @chadbourn.bsky.social · 21h

Here we go again: Reporter: “Zelenskyy says you're supporting Putin by waiving these sanctions.” Trump: “I'm supporting stopping the war.” Reporter: “How does that help stop the war?” Trump: “Why? Because that's what I do for a living.”

The receipts are concrete: 155mm and HIMARS lines got restocked on that money, the intel pipeline on Russian tactics is real, and drone and EW innovation came out of it. The US degraded its main adversary for a fraction of the cost of doing it alone, a bargain.

Olga Nesterova @onestpress.onestnetwork.com · 20h

Trump: “We’ve given a lot to Ukraine. They’ve given us nothing.” We completely restocked our stockpiles with the money allocated to Ukraine, got intel on our (I guess former) enemy’s strategies and received tech innovation in return..

Russia hits Ukrainian cities every night, holds occupied territory, and runs a war economy. "Not doing much" is either someone who hasnt looked at a casualty map since 2022 or a soft way of laundering the Kremlins line.

“Russia hasn’t been doing much to Ukraine”

The record is right there. Kyiv said yes to the unconditional ceasefire in March 2025, Moscow said no. Blaming the party that agreed means either not knowing the file or reading from the Kremlin one.

Trump: "Zelenskyy is not helping matters much. I think he doesn't want to stop the war." FACT CHECK: Ukraine and Zelenskyy personally agreed to an unconditional ceasefire proposed by Trump in March 2025. Russia did not.

Funding was already approved, yet the aid is still being held back while ballistic missiles hit Ukrainian cities, a deliberate decision. Washington is managing escalation on Kyivs account and Moscow reads the delay as permission.
