Когато едно място носи толкова история и е истински ценно за София, не можем да го оставим да се руши и да бъде занемарено. За мен възстановяването на парк-музей „Врана“ е лична кауза. Само за 10 дни работа на терен вече има видима промяна. Извозени са близо 300 тона растителни отпадъци. Премахнати са близо 100 паднали дървета. Окосени са 300 декара тревни площи, включително труднодостъпните пространства между съществуващата растителност. Разчистваме алеите и основните маршрути и постепенно връщаме реда в парка. След фактическото приемане на парка на 22 юни и ползотворните срещи с представителите на Фонд „Цар Борис и Царица Йоанна – Царски дворец Врана“ в началото на август трябваше да действаме бързо. Физическата работа започна на 20 август и оттогава не е спирала. Мащабът е сериозен. Всеки ден на терен работят над 50 души, а през почивните дни броят им достига почти 90. ОП „Паркове и градски градини“ работи заедно с ОП „Общински земи и гори“, които осигуряват допълнителна техника и експертиза за най-трудните участъци и за работа с едроразмерни дървета с височина до 40 метра. Това, което виждаме сега, е само първият етап – разчистването и обезопасяването на терена. Следва по-сложната работа по контролираното рязане и сваляне на стотици опасни и изсъхнали дървета, а след нея – следващите стъпки по възстановяването на парка. Предстои ни много работа. Врана няма да бъде възстановена за седмица или за месец. Но след години на занемаряване най-важното вече се случва – работата е започнала, хората са на терен всеки ден и промяната се вижда.
