For months, to reduce fuel prices during the crisis, I propose the temporary suspension of energy savings certificates, the CEE. Under this technocratic name, a charge is imposed on suppliers and then passed on to consumer bills and fuel prices. The Court of Auditors has estimated it at approximately 6 billion euros per year in 2022 and 2023, or 164 euros per household in 2023. The industry now estimates it at between 15 and 18 cents per liter. Temporarily suspending the CEE would immediately lower the price at the pump for everyone, without increasing the deficit, since this money does not enter the state budget. Of course, I have received nothing but indifference or disdain from our supposed leaders who prefer to perform the dance of price reduction and shout "it's the fault of others" (while continuing to apply the CEE and taxing taxes).
