George Simion votează contra publicării averilor politicienilor. În toată viața lui, Simion nu a putut justifica din ce trăiește. Până în 2020 a avut cartea de muncă la firma de Arhitectură a prietenului său Marius Lulea. Simion era plătit la mișto cu sume între 500 de lei și 3.000 lei pe lună, din care plătea chirie, mânca și protesta prin țară și pe stadioane. Ca picanterie, salariul lui Simion venea și din bani publici pentru că firmele lui Lulea au derulat zeci de contracte cu statul. În 2020 a intrat în Parlament, dar a zis că 90% din salariu îl donează. Urma să trăiască cu 1.200 lei/lună. Altă picanterie - când s-a căsătorit a semnat un fel de contract prenupțial. Simion a vrut să nu poată fi obligat să pună bani la ratele soției care luase o garsonieră prin credit. A strâns 400.000 de euro dar de nuntă cu care „a fugit”. A zis că va face un spital cu banii, dar nu a făcut. A fost în SUA la Congresul conservatorilor republicani unde un bilet bătea spre 30.000$. L-am întrebat de unde are bani (nu a decontat de la Parlament, asta e bine), mi-a zis că nu vorbește cu mincinoșii. În martie 2025 i-au apărut în conturi 50.000 de euro pe care nu a putut să îi justifice. Și azi, George Simion trăiește din cei 1.200 de lei rămași din salariul de parlamentar, plătind chirie în București și întreținând o familie și un copil mic. Fiind un om modest, George Simion nu vrea să știe lumea cum reușește să trăiască atât de cumpătat. Și atunci votează contra publicării declarațiilor de avere ale politicienilor.
