The forecasts closest to reality are for the next ten days and they show that we are not talking about a sustained increase (in the level of the Danube - editor's note), but rather about decreases, which is extremely concerning. Additionally, forecasts that are less accurate but must be taken into account indicate that only towards the end of October and the beginning of November can we talk about increasing flows and a rise in the level of the Danube, which would allow us to consider (restarting the plant - editor's note). The final decision will certainly be up to the specialists, because we must ensure the safety of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, to restart it safely and we cannot risk damaging the pumps, it would take months, maybe a year to replace them. So we cannot play around with the reopening; all parameters must be met and experienced people from there will follow the manuals, they will comply. The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy Cristian Buşoi stated on Wednesday evening, on Digi24, that he does not know when the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant can be restarted, noting that forecasts continue to indicate a low flow of the Danube. #CentralaCernavodă #CristianBuşoi #EnergieRomania (translated)
