🔴CONTEXTE - L'AFFAIRE HENRY NOWAK (1/2) Une vidéo choc a été rendue publique dans l’affaire Henry Nowak : les images des caméras-piétons de la police britannique montrent les tout derniers instants du jeune homme de 18 ans, agonisant dans la rue après avoir été poignardé. Diffusées récemment par la famille et les autorités, ces images ont relancé avec force les questions sur les circonstances de sa mort et l’erreur fatale des forces de l’ordre. Henry Nowak, étudiant britannique d’origine polonaise en première année de comptabilité et finance à l’université de Southampton, a été assassiné dans la nuit du 3 au 4 décembre 2025 à Portswood. Il rentrait tranquillement d’une soirée avec ses coéquipiers de l’équipe de football universitaire. Quelques instants avant l’attaque, Henry filmait déjà sur Snapchat un homme armé d’un grand couteau de 21 cm (un shastar, lame bien plus grande qu’un simple kirpan cérémoniel sikh). La situation dégénère : Vickrum Digwa, 23 ans, le poursuit et le poignarde à cinq reprises – une blessure mortelle à la poitrine et d’autres aux jambes. Henry, perdant son sang, tente de fuir, escalade une clôture, appelle à l’aide et répète qu’il a été poignardé. Il s’effondre dans la rue, couvert de sang, en train de se noyer dans son propre sang. C’est là que la vidéo des bodycams change tout et révèle qui a menti, et pourquoi la police a commis une erreur tragique. Digwa, l’agresseur, appelle la police et ment délibérément : il accuse Henry d’avoir lancé une agression raciale contre lui (un « mensonge vicieux » selon l’accusation au procès) et d’avoir commencé la bagarre. Les policiers arrivent, croient cette version sans vérifier l’état évident de la victime (blessures visibles, sang partout, difficulté à respirer). Au lieu de lui porter secours immédiatement, ils traitent Henry comme le suspect : ils le menottent, le traînent sur le gravier, lui lisent ses droits et l’arrêtent formellement pour agression. Henry, dans ses derniers instants, supplie à plusieurs reprises. Il dit neuf fois « I can’t breathe » (« Je ne peux pas respirer ») et indique à quatre reprises (au moins) qu’il a été poignardé. La réponse d’un officier ? « I don’t think you have, mate » (« Je ne pense pas que tu l’aies été, mon pote »). Ce n’est qu’après son effondrement total que les menottes sont retirées et que les premiers soins commencent. Trop tard : Henry meurt sur place, 67 minutes après l’attaque. L’autopsie confirme une hémorragie interne massive due à la lame profonde. La famille conteste fermement cette intervention policière. Le père d’Henry, Mark Nowak, a pris la parole de manière émouvante et déchirante devant le tribunal de Southampton Crown Court après la condamnation de l’assassin. Dans une déclaration poignante aux côtés de sa fille Olivia et de la mère de Henry, Lucy Walsh, il a déclaré : « Henry nous a dit neuf fois qu’il ne pouvait pas respirer.
