The Planet of Football reported that São Paulo could lose up to six points in the Brasileirão if they did not settle a debt of US$ 300 thousand (R$ 1.5 million) with the agents of midfielder Galoppo and remained under a transfer ban from FIFA for 60 days. According to the publication, the deadline for payment ended on December 2, during the last round of the championship. The loss of points would not be automatic but was provided for in the decision against the club. The report also stated that São Paulo was a repeat offender and had suffered another transfer ban that year due to a debt with Lazio involving Marcos Antônio, which was settled in August. At that time, the club was in 11th place, with 36 points, and would fall to 16th, just one point above the relegation zone, if they lost six points. According to the publication, the board was confident in settling the debt that week and was counting on an agreement with Ticketmaster, which provided for an advance of R$ 110 million in up to 45 days to ease the cash flow. Planet of Football credited the information to ge.globo, Bruno Giufrida, and Eder Traskini. #Brasileirão #SãoPauloFC #Futebol (translated)
