ULTRAKÆRL wrote that members of the Jewish Student Union Germany (JSUD) have maintained a clear distinction from fascists in Halle, while this has not succeeded for the CDU in Magdeburg. https://t.co/npABhyU00b #Antifaschismus #JSUD #Halle (translated)
Igor Levit wrote that Tillschneider described the attack in Halle as a "rampage." The perpetrator had attempted to enter the synagogue on Yom Kippur in order to murder Jews but was unable to get through the door and subsequently shot two people. Seven years later, Jewish students stand before the same door that Tillschneider referred to as "fanaticized." Levit stated that there is no need to know more about Tillschneider and praised JSU Deutschland. #Antisemitismus #Hassverbrechen #Judentum (translated)
Malca Goldstein-Wolf wrote that Jewish students prevented the far-right AfD politician Hans-Thomas Tillschneider from entering a memorial service at the synagogue in Halle. She expressed the desire for the Jewish Students' Union Germany (JSUD) to also be present in the future when Federal President Steinmeier, Adis Ahmetović, Isabel Cademartori, the Neukölln district and other politicians from the SPD, the Left Party, the Greens, and the BSW tried to enter a synagogue. She justified this with the principle of equal treatment. #Antisemitismus #Gedenkfeier #Studierendenvertretung (translated)
