The BBC identified four luxury floating units that have repeatedly appeared in the vicinity of Wonsan in North Korea, which may suggest that Kim Jong Un and his family are vacationing on the water, even though access to such luxuries is limited for most of the country's residents. #KoreaPółnocna #KimDzongUn #Wonsan (translated)

WolnośćTV reported that Krzysztof Bosak stood up for Grzegorz Braun, who — as it was stated — was not invited to Polsat. Bosak reportedly said that if there had been a place for Braun's representative in the studio, viewers would have heard that the war does not exist, and he added that it is easy to argue with someone who is not in the studio. #Polska #Wojna #Media (translated)

In her new book, journalist Kim Ghattas argues that the origins of many current conflicts in the Middle East, including the stories of Hezbollah, Khamenei, Netanyahu, and Trump, can be traced back to the Lebanese civil war, with the murder of American professor Malcolm Kerr as the central mystery. #LibaneseBurgeroorlog #MiddenOosten #KimGhattas (translated)

Jakub Balcerzak wrote that Ran Takahashi was set to debut in the TAURON League as a member of Bogdanka LUK Lublin. He described the 25-year-old Japanese player as someone who combined recognition among fans and collaboration with major brands with the ambition for further sports development. According to the author, the transfer to Lublin was not merely a marketing move: the club had tried to acquire the player earlier, and this year’s discussions were the third attempt. Balcerzak stated that Takahashi only now believed he was ready to play in Poland, and the prospect of playing alongside Wilfredo Leon was an important argument for him. According to Balcerzak, Takahashi started as a libero, and he became interested in volleyball thanks to his older brother Rui. He gained wider attention as an outside hitter when, in his last year of school, he led Higashiyama to the Japanese high school championship, after which he began studying at Nippon Sport Science University. Philippe Blain called him up for VNL 2021, despite his limited experience in senior volleyball, and he subsequently made it to the squad for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In his national team debut, he achieved, according to data cited by the author, 50% attacking efficiency, 35% attack effectiveness, and 80% positive reception. Balcerzak wrote that after the 2021 national team season, Takahashi, at Blain's urging, went to Italy. In December 2021, he joined Padwa, and later moved to Monza, with which he reached the LegaVolley finals and the Challenge Cup semifinals in 2024. In the 2024 league season, he recorded 49% attacking efficiency, 35% attack effectiveness, and 53% positive reception. After three years in Italy, he returned to Japan after the 2024 national team season, which — as the author described — was hampered by ankle injuries and a defeat at the Olympic Games. According to Balcerzak, Takahashi became the face of the SV League project, and in the first season he won a double gold crown and almost all individual awards. After his second season in Japan, he chose Lublin, wanting to find himself in a new environment before the Los Angeles Olympics. The author stated that in the 2026 national team season, the player was among the top five volleyball players, recording 53% attacking efficiency, 39% attack effectiveness, and 53% positive reception. He also quoted coach Stéphane Antiga’s opinion, who described Takahashi as a “complete outside hitter,” and pointed out that the player particularly valued defense, precision, and mentality.

The War Observer recalled a statement from Vance, who reportedly said that he had not met Putin in person but had spoken to him on the phone. According to Vance, Putin was calmer than one might expect, and his image in American media was stereotypical. He described him as reserved and measured in his words. Vance also stated that Putin, in his understanding, cares about Russia's interests and respects the president because he— as Putin believes— takes care of the interests of the American people. The War Observer wrote that he could not comment on this and compared this statement to a situation where a representative of the White House would be enamored with the perpetrators of the Katyn crime. #Putin #media #Polska (translated)

Z buta dookoła Świata reported that he walked 62 km to Garies. He wrote that he was tired because he had eaten little since the previous day, and while walking, he felt muscles he usually did not feel. He couldn't find a suitable place to camp because, as he described, the area was fenced, and there were few bridges, so he completed the entire planned distance. He reached Garies around 7:30 PM, shortly after dark. He was refused accommodation at a gas station, but they pointed him to a nearby campground, where he paid 25 zlotys. He added that along the way he received a few gifts from people who reacted with disbelief to his story of nearly 25,000 km traveled on foot. He also described a meeting with a live, intensely red grasshopper. He didn't touch it because he suspected it might secrete a defensive substance; he had previously seen several dead specimens. #podróże #przygoda #trasa (translated)
