Claudia López Hernández stated that the Democrats had gained a majority control of the Senate and the House of Representatives in the United States and had largely defeated Donald Trump. She attributed the victory to a rejection of the arrogance, incompetence, corruption, and abuse of power that, she wrote, characterized the president. She also highlighted the youth and Hispanic vote, noting that the night marked several firsts, including the election of the first Palestinian person, the first Hispanic woman, and the first gay man. She described it as a renewal of democracy and congratulated the Democrats. #Democracia #VotoJoven #MareaAzul (translated)
