O Airbus A350-1000 ULR matrícula F-WULR que há dias fez um voo direto de Toulouse até Melbourne, Australia, acaba de completar o voo de regresso acrescentando mais cinco (!) horas e 2500 milhas ao voo de ida. Voando a partir de Melbourne sobre o oceano Pacífico, atravessou a América do Norte e o oceno Atlântico até aterrar em Toulouse 24 horas e 23 minutos depois. Leram bem: 24 horas e 23 minutos de voo sem uma única paragem. Voar a rota mais longa faz parte do processo de demonstração das enormes potencialidades desta versão do Airbus A350. Nunca tal se viu. Lembro que este foi um voo de teste para efeitos de certificação realizado sem passageiros. Tinha a bordo apenas pilotos da Airbus e da companhia australiana Qantas, o cliente desta versão.
