Najprawdopodobniej z powodu braku aktywnego krwawienia medyk oddziału zdecydował się poluzować opaskę uciskową (błąd- amputacja stanowi przeciwwskazanie do konwersji) - czas manipulacji nieznany. Pacjent przytomny, we wstrząsie krwotocznym i najprawdopodobniej septycznym, podejrzenia zespołu poreperfuzyjnego. Brak aktywnego krwawienia w trakcie przyjęcia. Wykonano blokadę nerwu kulszowego i udowego, fasciotomię, stwierdzono martwicę mięśni w obrębie uda. Zdecydowano o wykonaniu amputacji na wysokości uda. Obserwowano diurezę- obecna niewielka ilość moczu- podejrzenie umiarkowanej niewydolności nerek. Potwierdzona w placówce role 2, do której udało się żołnierza skutecznie ewakuować.
