That the US government and many other governments are trying to influence the election in Brazil is obvious. The US and others do this in most elections around the world. I have always been and continue to be against this, as I said two weeks ago in São Paulo with former president Rafael Correa from Ecuador. 👇 That said, it's a bit bizarre to see the Brazilian left screaming about how much they hate American influence in Brazilian politics, considering that the current president of one of their favorite sites -- @TheInterceptBr -- is American, was founded by 2 Americans (me and Jeremy Scahill), was funded for years entirely with American money and, after I left, continues to receive foreign funding (including from Open Society, the main funding mechanism of American/Hungarian billionaire George Soros). Maybe a little consistency would help, right? (translated)
