In eigener Sache Seit fast genau 4 Jahren schreibe ich praktisch täglich hier. Das hinterlässt Spuren - Ermüdungserscheinungen, die verstärkt werden durch nachlassende Resonanz. Mein Lagebreicht gestern war der erste seit Dez 2023 mit weniger als 10T Views, bei der 10fachen Followerzahl von damals. 9300 Views bei gut 20T innerhalb der letzten 24h aktiven Followern (damals hatte ich 2-3000 insgesamt) - das ist als Reichweite miserabel. Liegt nicht am Algorithmus, andere erzielen mit aussagearmen Tweets mit einer überholten Karte teils ein Mehrfaches davon, auch wenn das Interesse am Thema UA insgesamt erkennbar viel geringer geworden ist Also wird ein wesentlicher Grund sein, dass ich zuletzt mehr aus Pflichtbewusstsein als mit Freude geschrieben habe - das merken die Leser offenbar, ich schreibe weniger gut. Hinzu kommt, dass Twitter immer kurzatmiger wird, ausführliche Analysen "verkaufen" sich zunehmend schlechter, verglichen mit einem Staccato kurzer Retweets. Eine Neuheit wie die Artikel läuft 2-3mal sehr gut, danach bricht die Reichweite wieder ein Und schließlich sind viele früher aktive Analysten verschwunden, größere Accounts außerhalb der eigenen engeren Blase interagieren zunehmend seltener, das eigene Netzwerk ist so weitgehend weg. Und als Einzelkämpfer ohne Diskussionen "off record" ist man einfach weniger gut Hinzu kommt die Informationspolitik beider Seiten: kaum noch brauchbare aktuelle Infos zur Lage, selbst die Auswirkungen der UA Langstreckenangriffe sind zuletzt oft erst nach Tagen bekannt geworden, ein Tagesüberblick darüber bringt also auch weniger als noch vor Wochen Ich werde deshalb mein Engagement hier deutlich runterfahren. Aktuelle Meldungen unterbleiben weitgehend, bis auf wirklich relevante Einzelereignisse - die kriegt man auf anderen Accounts, die habe ich sowieso nur gesammelt. Die Analysen gibt es nur noch in größeren Abständen, bzw. wenn sich wirklich etwas tut, wie Ende Mai/Anfang Juni mit dem Beginn der UA Luftoffensive, was man sofort am vorübergehend wieder viel größeren Interesse gemerkt hat Die tägliche Arbeit am Thema frisst mich auf, ich werde in einigen Monaten 70 und ich merke es, das wird nicht mehr dadurch kompensiert, dass man eine breitere Leserschaft erreicht (das ist das Erfolgserlebnis beim Schreiben, die Views, nicht die Likes) - es kann nicht weitergehen wie bisher. U.S. General Social Survey data suggests that center- and right-leaning opinions have remained relatively stable since the early 2000s, while left-wing views have shifted substantially. Meanwhile, publications such as *The New York Times* and *The Washington Post* sharply increased their use of terms like “racist” and “white privilege” after 2012. Shellenberger writes: “The media did this. The mass brainwashing came from college-educated elites in control of the most powerful propaganda machine in world history. These elites convinced the public that the West had grown more racist than ever, a blatant contradiction of the evidence. While the public was distracted by manufactured culture wars, governments exploited the chaos to consolidate power. Authoritarianism, spiraling debt, and economic devastation were the crippling costs of this deception.” He describes the political consequences just as bluntly: “By the time we got to 2016, Democrats had become completely unhinged. Bernard wants to experience passion and recognizes that life involves more than contentment. He craves genuine experience, including suffering and intensity, rather than emotional regulation by the World State. Lenina’s confusion results from her conditioning, which teaches her to view unhappiness as a technical problem. This belief is captured by the saying, “A gram is better than a dam.” The citizens of *Brave New World* are not captives but satisfied customers. Children are produced by the state, relieving people of the responsibilities of parenthood. Their free time is filled with promiscuity, cheap entertainment, and endless sporting events—what might be called “slop” today. As Neil Postman observed, Orwell saw totalitarianism through fear, while Huxley imagined a society where oppression would be unnecessary because people would willingly surrender themselves to pleasure. There would be no need to ban books, because no one would want to read them. An abundance of low-quality information would make censorship unnecessary; the truth would be drowned out by noise. Huxley warned that people’s “almost infinite appetite for distractions” could make tyranny not only possible, but welcome.
