Emberfeletti munka folyik Paksnál az Atomerőmű két működő turbinájának üzembentartásáért. A keddi és a szerdai nap lesz a kritikus, mivel addig további 14-15 centiméteres apadás várható a Dunán. Jelenleg 9 centire vagyunk az utolsó előtti turbina ismételt kikapcsolását jelentő vízszinttől. Ez csak akkor lesz elkerülhető, ha a bárkák süllyesztése meghozza a várt eredményt. Csütörtöktől az osztrák vízgyűjtőkre érkező csapadék hatására újra emelkedhet a vízszint, és rohamtempóban halad a fenékküszöb építése is. A vízügyi szakemberek úgy döntöttek, hogy holnap megnyitják a Ráckevei-Soroksári Duna-ág (RSD) zsilipjét, és ezzel 20 m3 plusz vizet juttatnak a fő Duna-ágba másodpercenként, amivel két centit nyerhetünk Paksnál. Jelenleg is zajlik a két 80 méteres bárka lassú süllyesztése. Még ma estig elérjük az 1 méteres süllyedési szintet, és holnap reggeltől újra indul a víz beszivattyúzása a hajótestekbe. Eközben már most óriási víznyomás nehezedik a bárkákra. Eddig ki nem próbált vastagságú, 500 méter hosszúságú acélsodronyokkal rögzítik a keresztbeállított bárkákat a 8 méter mélyre lefúrt 70 centi átmérőjű cölöpökhöz. Megfeszített tempóban zajlik a munka Pakson. Az első bárka beállítása, rögzítése folyamatban van. Rövidesen a második bárka is megérkezik. A Duna jobb partján a terep előkészítése megtörtént, az utak kialakítása folyik és elkezdődött a legjobb mérnökök által készített tervek alapján a kövek beborítasa. A bal parton a honvédség erői végzik a felvonulási terület és a depók kialakítását. Azon az oldalon is megkezdődik még a mai napon a műtárgy építése. Első körben 35 ezer, majd 110 ezer tonna kő kerül beépítésre. Jelenleg a Paksi Atomerőmű két turbinája üzembiztosan termel. Eközben a sokat emlegetett romániai atomerőművet teljesen le kellett állítani.
